Modern European restaurant Hawthorn is taking over The Glasshouse site in Kew Village
Joshua Hunter and Patra Panas, who’ve racked up quite the CVs between them (Joshua has cooked at the likes of Kitchen W8, Murano by Angela Hartnett and La Trompette, and he runs Joshua Hunter at Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds, while Patra has managed The Athenaeum private members’ club, La Trompette and The Glasshouse) are teaming up to open Hawthorn in Kew Village.
We don’t have any menu specifics yet but we do know that Hawthorn will be serving up modern but simple European dishes that make use of the best seasonal British produce, with Joshua also showcasing his love for wild food and British game – he also runs Joshua Hunter at Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds in Northwood, so perhaps some of those dishes will also make an appearance in Kew.
