to be hit in the jugulars with some sublime syths and beatific basslines, NAIVES are back with their new single ‘Jagular Vein’. The single, out 17th November is a playful mix of bouncy electronic and upbeat funk influences that’s ecclectic enough to keep it’s IQ well above the average. Even the title is sensible yet silly with references to both a fictional Winnie the Pooh character and a somewhat vital component of the human anatomy. Fans of Yeasayer take note, there’s some defintie Odd Blood within Jagular Vein and that ain’t no bad thing…also worth mentioning is that it kind of reminds us of Final Fantasy’s Chocobo theme song (in the most brilliantly nostalgic way possible of course).

So if you’d like a slice of the edgy electronic fun then why not throw on some tinfoil and cover yourself in glittery feathers because the London/French trio are playing this Saturday (October 25th) at Birthdays, Dalston with Miracle Blow. Woopwoop!
