Another high-end Greek restaurant is on the way
London’s Greek obsession doesn’t look to be fading any time soon as Mykonos hotspot Nammos (which also has sites in Cyprus, France and Dubai), where celebs flock to for Mediterranean food and party vibes when they’re on the island, is heading for London.
Opening in Knightsbridge (we don’t know exactly when) the London outpost of the restaurant won’t be able to offer the sea views and cabanas on the beach you get at the original one, but it will be transforming a Grade II-listed building in SW7 into a neighbourhood Aegean haven with lots of white, pastel blue and terracotta.
The food menu will follow the same fresh Mediterranean line as in Mykonos, with dishes like:
- aubergine mille-feuille with whipped feta
- spicy crab tartare salad
- Santorinian fava saganaki prawn
- cauliflower tabbouleh, Kastorias apple & grape vinaigrette
- lobster & shrimp linguine with pumpkin & lime
- baked pappardelle with tomato & burrata
- 21-day dry aged Suffolk wagyu ribeye steak
- king crab legs
We don’t have any idea of the prices yet but given Mykonos and Knightsbridge are hardly budget destinations, we’d expect a trip to Nammos will cost a pretty penny, although maybe not as much as a flight to Greece….
