know what we love? Free stuff. Free stuff is awesome. You know what else we love? Free movies, and we don’t mean illegal downloads, honest officer…..

From 14th September, The Scoop amphitheatre at More London on the South Bank will be hosting three weeks of free films for everyone to enjoy – no tickets, no reservations, no cost! Films start at 7.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday’s until September 30th. The Scoop located near Tower Bridge, right by City Hall will provide an atmospheric setting, but pack a raincoat as there is no cover should the weather turn nasty.

The films are a combination of classic, cult and contemporary movies; week one consists of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, the Oscar-winning King’s Speech and the classic chick flick Dirty Dancing. The second week sees showings of French animation The Illusionist, Facebook biopic The Social Network and Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn’s legendary The African Queen; while the third week will consist of classic political thriller The Manchurian Candidate, the original high school musical Grease and Matt Damon and Jeff Bridges in the Coen Brothers remake of True Grit.

Let’s just hope the weather stays dry!
