beneath the city, in the heart of Soho lies Mizuwari, a brand spanking new Japanese whisky bar which opens this week. The bar serves only Japanese whisky – the clues in the name – and is modelled on the izakayas in Japan, it offers a bottle keep service and grilled tapas style dishes from the Japanese restaurant Bincho handily located above.

For those who prefer tipples a little less harsh than just whisky and water there is also a cracking cocktail list to work your way through created with the help of Suntory Whisky, the God Fathers of Japanese whisky. Or if you ask nice the barman will knock you something up. We’d recommend the Strawberry Surprise alongside some of the fried chicken with panzo sauce. SORTED!

Opens Thurs 7th Feb
16 Old Compton Street, W1D 4TL
