MIRRORS: ROUND UP

mirrors1

Multi-venue festival Mirrors completed it’s second year, showcasing the best of up and coming music. Kicking of with a more chilled out vibe of acoustic acts at a stage set up in front Hackney Town Hall, the tone was set for a more relaxed Saturday festival. Moth Club highlighted up and coming indie bands such Caro, whilst Olso was rammed when cult hero Fucked Up played the entirity of their album ‘Hidden World’. Over in the glorious St John Hackney Bill Ryder-Jones provided a more mellow tone, and later on Bat For Lashes brought to life her album The Bride in a stunning coming together of visuals and music. Paper Dress Vintage on the other hand hosted an array of stand up.  The party continued on into the night over at the famously glittery Moth Club, with Spanish garage rockers The Parrots providing a wild time.

Notably it seemed ridiculously well organised, considering the crowds AND friendly too, it would be hard to imagine anyone didn’t feel welcome across the venues. Here’s to next year then.
