MILK BEACH TO REOPEN FOLLOWING EXPANSION

Aussie restaurant Milk Beach is getting ready to reopen in Queen’s Park and it’s now doubled in size as they’ve taken over the restaurant space next door. The expansion has allowed the team to put in a new bar area, with a new natural wine list, as well enlarge the heated outdoor seating area. Head Chef Darren Leadbeater has updated the dinner menu, drawing inspo from modern coastal Australian food.

The new dishes include Cornish sprats with yoghurt tartare & Tasmanian pepperberry, koji marinated chicken ‘schnitty’ with fermented chilli mayo, squid ink tagliatelle with cock crab & tomato fondue, and coffee custard tart. The brunch menu has also had a refresh, with new additions like folded eggs with Vietnamese crab curry & house-made crumpet, soba noodles with confit salmon & bacon dashi, and buttermilk pancakes with wattle seed creme & maple syrup.

Opens early October 2020
