After doubling in size over in Queen’s Park in 2020, Aussie restaurant Milk Beach is expanding again, this time into Central as they launch an outpost in Soho. This summer, they’ll move into their second home at the Ilona Rose House building, a bright and airy space complete with an outdoor courtyard, and bring with them all-new dinner and bunch menus, signature cocktails and a comprehensive wine list.
In keeping with that of the OG spot, Milk Beach Soho’s menu will draw inspiration from the South East Asian and Mediterranean influences that make up Australian cuisine. New dishes will include whole deep-fried seabass with nam jim jaew; Belted Galloway bone-in-ribeye with smoked bone marrow & tare; and Milk Beach lamington cake with chocolate sorbet, coconut & crumble. Five faves from the original location have made the list too, including Chinese five-spice BBQ pork rib dumplings with chilli pho ga consommé, and koji marinated chicken ‘schnitty’ with fermented chilli mayonnaise & chicken salt chips. And drinks-wise, they’ll be maintaining their rep for low-intervention wines, with a selection from importers Modal, Liberty and Alliance, among others. Get ready for a summer of Aussie coastal vibes right in the heart of London.
