Ifyou’ve always fancied being part of the Mile High club but don’t fancy getting your bits out in a cramped smelly flying loo, try this for size.
The people behind ‘Mile High’ will take you on a luxury city break, that you don’t even have to leave London for. A series of 4 destination themed events that combine food, music and cocktails, the best bits of any ‘city break’, don’t you agree?
Inspired by the golden age of 1950s air travel, you will be greeted on arrival by air hostesses who will lead you to the party at the departure lounge…your flying business class baby! Join the DJ on the decks, get on the ‘check in’ Campari cocktails and gourmet bar snacks served with pencil moustaches before embarking on Mile High’s foodie destination.
First up is Gothenburg, Sweden where ex-Moro chef Oliver Templeton will serve up a Scandinavian four-course feast. Pan-fried Scallops and Puréed Potato and Crayfish, Brown Shrimp, Smoked Bacon, Soured Cream, Dark Rye and Tarragon are just a couple of the Scandinavian treats which will be served throughout your trip finished off with Lingonberry Ice Cream with Carrot Cake Crumble and Liquorice Meringue. Whilst dining, guests will enjoy the performance of Mile High’s stylish cabin crew, and we’re not talking preflight checks.
Destinations start in Göteborg in March followed by Beirut in May, then June you’ll jet off to Sicily with the last destination being Mozambique in September. It’s £65 a head for a return ticket, giving you a four course meal and of course you’ll get a couple of free cocktails with that too. And if that wasn’t enough if you attend the first event there’s also the chance to win a three day, foodie trip for two to Gothenburg…sounds good to us!
Oh and if you get a bit travel sick and don’t fancy the full flight access to the departure lounge bar will be available from 9pm so you can enjoy cocktails and tunes spun by one of Mile High’s talented guest Djs. Tickets priced at £15.
