Vegan institution Mildreds is about to launch a sixth site in Victoria
If you’re a vegan, veggie or flexitarian, chances are you’ll have heard of Mildreds. It’s one of London’s original vegetarian spots, having been founded in Soho in 1988, and also one of its most prolific, with five sites now operating across the city. And the team has recently announced that they’re going for number six, this time moving into SW territory with a location set to open in Victoria this May.
The youngest Mildreds is gonna be a big one – expect a 100-cover dining room as well as a 30-cover terrace – and will come with all-new, internationally inspired menus. They’ll be serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch at the weekend, and dishes are set to include:
- Arancini Rossi, with smoked paprika & mushrooms, garlic aioli and smoked chilli ketchup
- Mojo Verde Chick’n Skewers, courgette white beans, smoked sweetcorn mole
- Pineapple Som Gaeng Rice Noodles, with Thai tamarind peanut curry, tender stem broccoli, pineapple lime leaf sambal and crispy fried shallots
As for drinks, there’ll be a list of smoothies, mocktails and cocktails that’ll feature signatures like the Lychee Rose Martini, Plum Thyme Spritz and Blood Orange Hibiscus Margarita. Plus, given the new site’s proximity to two of London’s most iconic theatres, you can grab a pre-theatre set menu at this Mildreds – priced at £24 for two courses and £32 for three – and be at your show in plenty of time.
