MICHELIN-STARRED CHEF PAUL FOSTER IS LAUNCHING A SPOT IN LONDON

The celebrated chef behind salt in Stratford-upon-Avon will open GrassFed in Camden’s Hawley Wharf this July

This summer, the grass will be greener on the other side of Regent’s Canal as Michelin-starred chef Paul Foster will be launching his London debut, GrassFed, at the Hawley Wharf development in Camden. Foster is known for his position at the helm of salt, a relaxed fine-dining restaurant in Stratford-upon-Avon that was awarded a Michelin star for its unfussy but excellent modern British dishes.

The all-new concept, as the name suggests, will centre around serving up the best quality grass-fed beef which will be grilled over coals in an open kitchen. The menu will also reflect the team’s commitment to changing the narrative around meat consumption and industrial processing methods. Expect to see the likes of:

  • Beef snag (a beef hotdog with truffle mayonnaise, crispy onions and pickled onions)
  • Beef rib on the bone to share with a choice of Cotswold Sobrasada or Stichelton blue cheese
  • Paul’s prime BBQ dayboat fish with smoked seaweed butter

Drinks-wise, there’ll be a selection of classic cocktails, British beers and a mix of English and European wines.

The 50-cover restaurant will be split across two floors, with interior details made out of ‘earth materials’ such as wicker, steel and stones. As well as regular table seating, diners will have the option to sit at the counter or on the canalside terrace. As Foster puts it, this “won’t be a run-of-the-mill steak restaurant with chips and peppercorn sauce,” so if you’re a fan of high-quality, ethically sourced meat, sounds like this’ll be right up your street.

Opens July 2023
Arch S12 Water Lane, Hawley Wharf, London NW1 8JY
