is a new Mexican in town and it goes by the name of Mezcal Cantina. Yes Dalston can now dance until dawn at the sister to nearby Viva! Like it’s sibling the restaurant serves tacos, cocktails and beers but it also features a list of mains such as Chilli Con Carne and Fajitas – ariba, ariba!

Inside the restaurant is pretty quirky with exposed brick work, big colourful art, fairy lights and a small bar at the back. We went along for the opening and got to sample a couple of the tacos, the highlights definitely the tender Beef and Chorizo. The Guacamole is also pretty good too, plenty chunky and great with the homemade tortilla chips. If you fancy a change from the usual Turkish check it out, it’s on the site of the old Dalston pizzeria.
