Mexican-Japanese Joint Los Mochis to Open a Rooftop Spot in the City

Markus Thesleff is taking Los Mochis eastwards

MexicanJapanese fusion spot Los Mochis (which recently added the smallest omakase experience in London above the main restaurant) has clearly been a hit since it opened in Notting Hill in 2021 as it’s now expanding with a second site across town in the City. Founder Markus Thesleff will be taking up residence in a 14,000 sq ft space on the rooftop of 100 Liverpool Street, comprising a dining room, an agaveria bar and lounge, two private dining rooms and a massive 3000 sq ft covered and heated terrace, which’ll boast a 3am late licence for all you night owls.

Just like the Notting Hill restaurant, the City outpost of Los Mochis will be gluten- and nut-free, with a range of different kushiyaki coming from the robata grill, a caesar salad trolley tossing salads tableside, and make-your-own taco platters featuring wagyu tomahawk steaks and whole roasted king crab legs adding plenty of theatre to the experience. The main bar will be home to one of the largest selections of rare tequilas and mezcals in Europe, and both wine and sake sommeliers will be on hand to help you find the perfect drinks pairings.

Opens Thurs 11th April 2024
