MĒS IS BRINGING PIES AND WINES TO KENSAL GREEN

There’s only one place to go if you’re after artisanal handmade pies and natural wines in NW10

A good glass of wine and a golden pastry-encrusted pie are two of the finest things in life, and now you can indulge in both at Mēs, a new(ish) pie shop and wine bar in Kensal Green. Run by chefs Fernando Passos and Martin Sternbergs (who between them have spent time at The Cow and Peter Gordon’s Providores and Tapa Room), Mēs specialises in handmade artisanal pies with seasonal fillings like rabbit, celeriac & red pepper; leek, cheese & truffle; venison, port & juniper berry; butternut squash, caramelised red onion & walnuts; and butter bean, wild garlic & smoked chilli salsa.

You can pair those pies with a glass (or bottle) of natural wine; the Mēs team works with Newcomer Wines to source bottles from ‘The New Old World’, so you can expect the likes of Majas Blanc, Rózsa Petsovits and Haloze Blanc, Vino Gross to be on the list. Wanna have a pie and wine party at home? Many of the Mēs pies are available to buy frozen so you can get that freezer nice and stocked.
