shown by this year’s LCM, menswear might just be the most exciting it’s ever been, so we’re taking a look at all the trends set to be seen everywhere this coming A/W. High-end designer items, flea market buys and family heirlooms all work together in the grunge lounge trend…think beaten-up jeans paired with a sharp tux jacket, a vintage pattern shirt over slim sweatpants, even satin PJs worn top and bottom.

And you get bonus points for bold prints. You can really go to town with textures as well…denim is a grunge staple, Topman cut a variety of items in velvet and a ton of silk was sent down the runaway at JW Anderson, James Long and Katie Eary.

The lounge aspect is important too, so keep the silhouettes relaxed and flowing…that means wide-leg jeans, longline shirts, and sweeping robes. The tailoring can wait for another day. Part dandy, part rock & roll, it’s the attitude that ultimately brings the grunge lounge look to life. Whilst this trend sits at the more directional end of the spectrum…no sweat for all you fashion forward folks…with these pieces it’s still easy to rock day-to-day. Here’s some options to look into…
