Print-
[URIS id=63995] and pattern-wise, the AW 16/17 collections saw subtlety go right out the window in favour of big, bold, striking designs. Bobby Abley and KTZ used sportswear and bright colourways to show off the dramatic side of the optic geometric trend to full effect, whilst Topman Design stuck to a darker palette, choosing to combine with florals and clash prints. As well as tinkering with the patterns, we also saw experimentation with the fabric choices; Katie Eary laying graphic lines onto floaty silk and Issey Miyake stitching fluid shapes into knitwear.HOW TO GET THE LOOK…
Bold geometric prints like these are a natural fit for sports and streetwear, and you can easily reference the trend with just a t-shirt. Dependent on the colour combos and the way you style, these patterns can look retro and futuristic, so there’s more than one way to get involved.
