Pulled pork, sticky ribs, juicy burgers and BBQ heaven…what’s all that about…MEAT!

Yes the one and only Meatopia is back and this time it’s gonna be bigger than ever in celebration of their 10th birthday. Housed at Tobacco Dock the best meat-based restaurants around take up residency for one big weekend of BBQ smokey, meaty goodness. It’ll take place over four days this year (instead of the usual three) and the Meatopia team will be working with a record number (100) of chefs from all over the world.

The first batch of chefs on the line-up has been announced and it includes the likes of six-time champion pit master Tuffy Stone, Thalia Barros Garcia from Oaxaca City, Sweden’s Holy Smoke, Zé Paulo Rocha from Lisbon’s O Velho Eurico, Brad Carter, Ana Da Costa, Elliot Cunningham, Ruben Dawnay, Melissa Thompson, Matt Gillan, Liam Barker, Harneet Baweja, and Keshia Sakarah. And for the first time, Meatopia is working with Food Behind Bars, with chef Milli Taylor grilling alongside some of the rehabilitated women from East Sutton Park open prison.

It’s not a festival without music, so expect live performances, roaming brass bands, DJs and soulful singers to keep the good times rolling. And, once again, TAPtopia has the brews covered. It’s set to be four days of meaty madness, stretchy trousers at the ready.
