while back you might have caught an episode of Top Gear where James May took the sound of a car engine and played out the theme tune from the show on a keyboard. To be fair, it didn’t really work. It was a mess. But Mazda UK might have cracked it by turning a new Mazda3 into a powerful musical instrument.

Yep Mazda is a brand that aims to defy convention in everything it does. Showcasing their new car though photographs or having a video of it tearing along a cliff or by an ocean is just to obvious…boring even. So Mazda have jointed forced with Mogees, a new technology with the aim of setting a light the musical imagination of all of us by turning the Mazda3 into a unique and powerful musical instrument.

The inner workings of this new technology come by way of a mobile app which works with a sensor to turn vibrations in to music using a special sound technique. Now isn’t that just sound to your ears?
