Acclaimed plant-based chef Matthew Kenney, who has vegan restaurants all over the world under his Matthew Kenney Cuisine brand, is adding London to his list with Adesse, opening inside Selfridges this winter. The opening forms part of the store’s Project Earth sustainability initiative, which includes offering more meat-free and plant-based options across the entire food department.
Adesse will serve up globally inspired dishes like jackfruit ‘crab cake’ with smoked red pepper remoulade; kimchi dumplings with foamed ginger; kelp noodle cacio e pepe; beetroot carpaccio with yuzu kosho & poppy seed; a flora tree nut cheese plate with smoked chedder & herbed feta; spicy udon with togarashi, tempeh & bok choy; and lime parfait with avocado & spiced macadamia. All of that will be served alongside a drinks list featuring organic and biodynamic wines and curated spirits and elixirs.
