Covent Garden is about to get a brand new Italian restaurant courtesy of Paulo de Tarso and Nicolas Jaouën. Margot will combine slick service and swishy interiors with authentic Italian food cooked up by Executive Chef Maurizio Morelli. The menu will cover all regions of Italy, so you can expect dishes like scallop carpaccio with lime, fresh broad beans and red chilli sauce; tagliolini with Sicilian red prawns; veal ossobuco with saffron risotto “alla Milanese”; and flattened Sicilian cannolo, ricotta cream and pistachio ice cream. Even better, many of the dishes will be available in two portion sizes, so there’s no stress when it comes to choosing what, or how much, to eat.
