A Louis Vuitton Hotel Has Landed in London
London is no stranger to immersive pop-up experiences from big name fashion houses and now Louis Vuitton is getting in on the act by opening a pop-up hotel in Mayfair. The brand is celebrating 130 years of its iconic monogram and you can see a lot of it throughout the hotel. There’s a Keepall Lobby, a nod to the travel bag that was first introduced in 1930, where you can take your own items in for care and repair; the Speedy Room, dedicated to another famous LV bag, where Pharrell Williams’ latest reinterpretation is also on show; and the Neverfull Gym, showcasing the carry-all’s strength, rather than a place for you to work out. You’ll work up an appetite browsing all those bags, so it’a a good thing there’s a cafe and bar on-site. Cafe Alma is serving afternoon tea and a set menu, with cocktails and champagne on offer in Bar Noé,
A Magazine Pop-Up Has Come to Selfridges
Beloved Clerkenwell magazine shop magCulture is popping up at Selfridges for a six-week residency as part of the department store’s Club Culture programme, celebrating the clubs and communities that bring people together. A Pop-Up Beach Is Coming to Walthamstow
You don’t need to go to the seaside this summer (well, unless you want to of course) because it’s coming to you. Walthamstow is becoming Walthamstow-on-Sea as the Big Penny Beach Club rolls into the neighbourhood. Big Penny Social is transforming its terrace into a beach club kitted out with an on-site gelateria, a spritz bar, beach volleyball, a DJ stage, and plenty of frozen cocktails and fish & chips.
Jimmy Garcia Is Doing Rotisserie Chicken on the South Bank
It’s not summer in London without a pop-up from Jimmy Garcia (this will be his tenth year doing it) but instead of bringing back his BBQ Club, he’s launching a new rotisserie concept. Rotate by Jimmy will celebrate rotisserie cooking, with a menu of rotisserie chicken served by the quarter, half or whole bird; chicken caesar baps; charred cauliflower; chicken-dripping potatoes; truffle fries with Old Winchester cheese; charred corn ribs with lime and chilli salt; heritage tomato and basil salad; and dips like smoky BBQ, salsa verde, buffalo-style sauce, gravy, and blue cheese. The space itself has also had a redesign, with a weather-proof cabana and riverside views for all the tables.
Roti King x Morley’s: Two London Heavyweights Come Together
Roti King and Morley’s are linking up for what might be the most London pop-up of the month. Bossman Mamak lands in Brixton Village from 9th – 12th April, bringing Malaysian night-market cooking together with South London’s fried chicken royalty for one very limited run. We’re talking dishes like Wings & Nasi Lah – nasi goreng with three Morley’s wings, sambal and a fried egg; Boss, Ayam Dua! – Morley’s two-piece chicken with fries dusted in Roti King spice and a peanut sauce dip; Sedap Wrap – Morley’s chicken tenders stuffed into roti canai with achar salad; and KL Dirty Fries topped with shiitake mushroom rendang, spring onions and red chillies.

Bangkok's Phed Mark Is Popping Up in London
If you want pad kaprao – the popular Thai street food dish made with stir-fried meat or seafood, holy basil, rice and crispy fried eggs – in Bangkok, Phed Mark is one of the best places to get it. For two months this spring, Phed Mark will be taking over Soho’s Platapian, the Thai restaurant run by Nam Parama Raiva, which opened on the old Patara Soho site last summer. As per Restaurant magazine, the Phed Mark menu, available in Platapian’s downstairs space, will be available on a walk-in basis. Starters, like spring rolls and pork satay, will come from Platapian, with pad kaprao taking centre stage as the main offering, which will come in beef, chicken or veggie versions and varying spice levels. Phed Mark will also be doing a London special of stir-fried mama noodles with lobster, holy basil and a fried egg, especially for the takeover too.
Endo Kazutoshi Is at Annabel's and Non-Members Can Book
After a fire caused his White City restaurant Endo at The Rotunda to close last year, sushi master Endo Kazutoshi isn’t staying out of the kitchen until it reopens as he’s running a five-month pop-up in Mayfair. And he’s not taking over any old space as he’s cooking at exclusive members’ club Annabel’s, which is opening to the public for the first time. Yes you can book a spot at Endo’s pop-up, officially called ‘Endo, Upstairs at Annabel’s’ but which he’s calling ‘Untitled’, even if you’re not a member of Annabel’s – but you’ll have to shell out £245 for the omakase menu. You’ll also have to give up your phone and skip the perfume if you want to dine there as per Endo’s strict rules.
Vogue Is Bringing Back Its Cafe at 180 Corner Shop
Corner Shop is already a hyped grocery store, deli, wine bar, and all-around one-stop-shop for the best food and drink products. And after a successful takeover last year, the space is turning into a concept cafe run by Vogue and Nike for London Fashion Week. The brands are taking over the space from 10am – 5pm on Sat 21st and Sun 22nd February, so you can drop in for a much-needed refresh and refuel between shows. The Nike Deli will be offering brekkie bites, pastries and refreshments, and Nike will also be hosting movement sessions with brand ambassadors to help keep everyone energised. You’ll also be able to stop by the Vogue Cafe for exclusive talks with British Vogue’s Head of Editorial Content Chioma Nnadi and you can pick up a range of merch, including t-shirts, caps, Vogue notebooks, Corner Shop tote bags and even Vogue patches, which you use to customise your totes at the personalisation corner.
After cutting his teeth at Dough Hands, Tom Budakan is launching his own pizza concept (and continuing the tradition of pizza pop-ups in pubs) with Hot Saint Pizza at The Old Queen’s Head in Islington. His NY-style pies are made using high-protein Canadian flour and rye, with the dough being left to ferment for 48 hours, resulting in a light, thin and crispy crust. Toppings-wise, he’s doing a Spicy Hawaiian (with San Marzano tomato, fior di latte, guanciale & smoked ham hock, pineapple, smoked chilli and jalapeños), a Meatball Ricotta (with San Marzano tomato, fior di latte, house meatballs, ricotta and parmesan), and a Vodka Pesto (with vodka sauce, stracciatella, pesto and parmesan). The combos are classic rather than experimental and the ingredients, like the Cobble Lane pepperoni are all top quality – and the pizzas all come with a generous dusting of parmesan too. There are also spicy chicken parm and house meatball pizza sandwiches and banana miso soft serve on the menu but the pizza is the real star; all you need to add is plenty of the garlic ranch.
