MANAKISH & NAANZA TO OPEN

If pizza has become your go-to order this lockdown and you’re getting a bit bored of the same old pepperoni, then check out Manakish & Naanza. This new concept is launching in Covent Garden with not one but two flatbread dishes, each freshly baked to order and with a whole range of topping combos. The first is manakish, which is a traditional Levantine flatbread that’s crispy on the outside, soft in the centre, and topped with ingredients like minced lamb, za’atar, halloumi, grilled chicken and olives. The second is naanza, which is a traditional fluffy naan bread that’s been turned into a main dish by adding toppings (like tandoori chicken, tikka paneer and mango chutney) like a pizza.

The Neal Street site will have space for both dine-in and al fresco eating and the M&N team are already eyeing up a second London location, with plans to open 30 more outlets across the UK in the next three years.

Opens June 2021
