MAKE RECYCLED EARRINGS AT THIS LOTI X PIVOT WORKSHOP

We’ve launched our 2021 LOTI Heroes campaign and this year we’re giving you the chance to get involved directly with some of the amazing brands and businesses we’ve showcased. Founded by Alice Moxley, Pivot is an award-winning social enterprise that fuses her love of creating and her technical knowledge with her passion for supporting those experiencing homelessness. The organisation offers people a way to change their lives through designing, making and selling jewellery, and provides coaching and financial support to enable people to find meaningful employment. And we’ve teamed up with them for a very spesh jewellery making workshop, hosted at the London Fields outpost of Second Home, a social business with a mission to support creativity and entrepreneurship by creating global workspaces and cultural venues to bring together diverse industries and disciplines.

Two of Pivot’s programme graduates, Jason & Makbule, will take you through the process of working with acetate, which has been donated by Cubitts, and teach you how to cut, shape, mould and polish acetate into a unique set of earrings. Not only will you be giving waste material a second life, all the profits from the workshop will be reinvested back into Pivot’s social mission of helping those experiencing homelessness, so you’ll be doing two good deeds.

Drinks and snacks will be provided at Second Home on the night and as well as taking home the earrings you make, you’ll also get a 20% discount on Pivot jewellery too.

Weds 8th December 2021, 7pm – 8.30pm
