Cancer charity Maggie’s is spreading the Christmas cheer this year by hosting a free virtual carol concert featuring a stacked line-up of performers and celeb speakers, broadcast from the kitchens in Maggie’s centres across town. Newsreader Fiona Bruce is on hosting duties with the likes of Keeley Hawes, James Norton, Sue Perkins, Stanley Tucci and Dominic West doing readings – here’s hoping it’s as charged as the script read Brad and Jen did in original lockdown. Awks…
Lulu, baritone Roderick Williams OBE, soprano Ellie Laugharne, The London Oriana Choir, and composer Eric Whitacre will be providing the music and there’ll also be carols to sing along to as well. The concert is free to stream but Maggie’s is asking for donations to help support people with cancer. You can register now to make a donation and get the link for the event. Perfect festive feels for a Sunday eve, in or outta lockdown.
