There’s nothing like a crisp beer in the summer sun and that’s exactly what you can get your hands on this weekend as Madrí Excepcional’s Summer City Tour brings the soul of Madrid to London after stopping in Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol. The free immersive pop-up, running from 9th – 11th August, is turning Ely’s Yard on Brick Lane into the streets of Madrid.
Madrid-based illustrator Gus Morais has created an interactive mural, inspired by the everyday experiences of 600 Madridian locals, soundtracked by a Spanish fiesta playlist. And you can explore the streets of Madrid by taking part in a digital scavenger hunt – scan a QR code in the mural and use the Madrí Excepcional Conectada platform to locate hidden cans of beer within the artwork, which, once found, can be used to claim a selection of prizes.
You get a perfectly chilled Madrí Excepcional beer, a smooth Mediterranean-style lager from La Sagra Brewery and Molson Coors, on entry to experience, which you can pair with bespoke fusion dishes created by local restaurants working with chefs from Madrid. You can also check the Conectada platform to find your nearest restaurants and bars that are pouring Madrí Excepcional to continue the good times. CHEERS!
