There’s a new Italian restaurant in town and this one isn’t afraid to be a bit out there. Macaroni Liberation Front, now open in Dalston Square, is, as the name would suggest, putting a spin on traditional Italian dishes and cooking up non-Italian dishes ‘in an Italian way’.
The menu is inclusive with veggies, vegans, gluten-free and halal all catered for (the idea being that people on different diets can eat in the same place) with dishes like vegan carbonara, black rice cacio pepe, scallop mac & cheese, a vegan roast, and a smoked tofu salad all on offer, as well as eggs for brekkie and sandwiches on for lunch. Yes this is defo not your average pasta joint.
