Last year Lucy Rose went on a tour in South America that was organised by her fans…33 shows in eight weeks across Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil and Mexico with no agents, managers or promoters, staying with fans along the way. She captured the whole thing on film too for the documentary Something’s Changing and speaking about the tour, she said “The tour taught me a lot about myself and who I want to be, both in life and as an artist. It helped me see how people connect with my music and has led me to make the record I’ve always wanted to make.”
On that topic, Lucy has also shared the first single from the new record. ‘Floral Dresses’ is a stripped-back affair, with just her voice and her acoustic guitar on show, with The Staves jumping in on the harmonies.
Something’s Changing is out 14th July on Communion Records alongside the documentary, which Lucy is taking on a worldwide cinema tour – check out the UK dates below!
