lotiloves homeware: native & co

Notting Hill’s Native & Co is an independent shop specialising in crafted homeware from Japan and Taiwan. They stock a range of tableware, ceramics, kitchenware and other small home accessories, and whilst there is a mixture of traditional pieces and contemporary designs, everything shares the same sense of simplicity and purity. That means lots of clean lines and soft colours.

The owners Sharon Jo-Yun Hung and Chris Yoshiro Green, who met at art college, started Native & Co because they saw a gap in the market for high quality, accessible products from both Japan and Taiwan, feeling that Taiwanese design was seriously under-represented and that many Japanese products just weren’t available in London. Now you have a place to pick up everything from bath ladles to bamboo fans and clay rice pots to rice candles. Each piece has been carefully sourced and curated by the pair, so even if you don’t end up splashing the cash, a trip to Native & Co is worth it just to admire the delicate objects in person.
