You may recognise her as one of the housemates from the 2024 season of Big Brother but Daze Aghaji is much more than just a reality TV contestant. A passionate environmentalist and activist, she works at the intersection of culture and climate, exploring our relationship with the Earth and encouraging people to “fall back in love with our land”. She worked as a strategist for Extinction Rebellion Youth and ran for election as a Climate and Ecological Emergency Independent MEP in 2019 (all whilst still studying at Goldsmiths, making her the youngest ever candidate standing in an European Parliamentary election). As well as advising NGOs, institutions and governments on creating systemic change through youth political engagement, social justice and climate action, Daze has been a creative director at impact-driven media company Earthrise Studio, and she’s a co-founder of Hard Art, a collective using culture to inspire climate action and create a future of care.
