Chef Anna Søgaard and sommelier Kim McBride met whilst working together at Erst in Manchester, and they decided to combine their feminism and love for food by founding Suppher, an inclusive supper club powered by women. In 2023, Suppher became a Community Interest Company, with Anna Carmichael of Growing Fields and Sinead Murdoch of Tasca London joining as directors, allowing the organisation to put on even more events. As well as creating a space for women in hospitality across the country to come together and showcase their talents, all Suppher events raise money for charities supporting women, including Women for Women International, Trafford Rape Crisis, and Refuge.
