2020 has proved itself to be one f**ker of a year for obvious reasons…who’d have thought we’d spend the majority of the year in our houses, go weeks on end without seeing our loved ones except on Zoom, and that the highlight of our week would be the weekly NHS clap. But it’s not all doom and gloom, there have also been some amazing things to come out of 2020 too.
Last year we launched LOTI Heroes, where we put the spotlight on individuals, brands and businesses doing amazing things that have a positive impact, be that on the environment, food waste, fast fashion, mental health, homelessness and so much more.
We had the likes of Doug McMaster with his zero-waste restaurant Silo; Zanna Van Dijk and Natalie Glaze from Stay Wild helping fight the scourge of plastic in our oceans with their eco-friendly swimwear; Tom Fletcher turning fruit and veg destined for the bin into juices with his company Rejuce; Julius Ibrahim tackling homelessness one espresso at a time with his coffee shop Second Shot, and many more truly amazing and inspirational people.

This year we are highlighting more of the stories that need to be told from people, brands and businesses who are working hard at making a difference. We’ve already got an EPIC list but we’d like your help in identifying even more LOTI Heroes. They might be a champion of the BLM movement, doing clever things with food waste, fighting to help the environment, breaking down barriers on body positivity and mental health or working towards ending homelessness. As long as they are in London or having a positive impact on the city and people in it, we want to hear about them. Tell us who deserves a shout out using the form below.
