LOTI EATS | TACOS PADRE

Located in Borough Market, Tacos Padre is the Mexican spot from hot Irish chef Nick Fitzgerald who earned his stripes at Pujol, Mexico City (on the World’s 50 Best don’t ya know). The stall serves tacos by day as well as homemade bottled sauces and cocktails, but come Thursday – Saturday evenings things get turned up a notch for the ‘All My Friends’ dinner pop-up.

This is when the food offering becomes more of a sit down do rather than smash and grab, with a full restaurant-style menu featuring some amazing small plates like crab tostada and bream ceviche with fish coming from Fin & Flounder on Broadway Market. Also look out for the macha chicken wings (not to be confused with matcha!) and larger sharing dishes like short rib and lamb barbacoa served with salsa and fresh tacos. There are some banging natural wines too including a very smashable Reisling and mezcal margs.

Tacos Padre is some of the best Mexican food we’ve had in London. Super fresh and full of flavour. Don’t miss the guac topped with the crack-like macha sauce – SO GOOD.

Tacos available 12pm – 5pm Thursday – Saturday
All My Friends dinner pop up from 6:30pm Thursday – Saturday
