LOTI EATS (AT HOME) | AROUND THE CLUCK

If you managed to try James Cochran’s Buttermilk Jamaican Jerk Chicken before lockdown then you know he has fried chicken absolutely nailed. Now the Great British Menu winner (and Yes Chef guest) has taken the signature dish from 12:51 and turned it into the hero of his new lockdown brand Around The Cluck.

The Original Buttermilk Chicken Burger has fried chicken topped with scotch bonnet jam, blue cheese mousse, crispy smoked streaky bacon, and iceberg lettuce, all stuffed in a brioche bun. And if you want more chicken, the buttermilk chicken wings with fish sauce caramel are crunchy parcels of joy, smothered in sweet spiced onion jam, coriander mayo and peanuts. Dreamy. And don’t miss the crispy new potatoes tossed in dried shrimp, tugarashi and chicken butter – yes there’s even chicken in the potatoes – which are just so moreish.

As well as getting it at home, you’ll soon be able to eat-in at Around The Cluck, as it’ll be taking over 12:51 once restaurants re-open and staying until at least the end of the year. James has said that he can’t do 12:51’s regular menu justice with social distancing rules but he will be bringing it back in the future. He’s got some of the best fried chicken in town on his hands here though, so Around The Cluck is a no-brainer. AND 1251 knock up one of the best Sunday roasts in London, so you’ve got more than one reason to visit.
