Andi’s in Stoke Newington has been a popular spot since opening up on Church Street in 2017 – it always looks rammed at brunch time when we pass it on the weekend. We’d heard plenty of good things over the last year but had never made it down, so as its first anniversary was coming up we went by for an early dinner to check it out.

Inside it’s very relaxed local restaurant vibes, with shabby chic furniture and a warm welcome from Andi Oliver herself. The menu is also perfectly pitched for that neighbourhood feel – nothing too fussy and giving you big hearty, satisfying dishes that you’ll want to keep coming back for. Our pick of the dishes would definitely include the plantain croquettes with vegan miso mayo; the tuna tataki, nori caramel & wild garlic mayonnaise; pan roast hake with crispy egg, fondant potato & pea veloute; and best of all, the slow roast wild garlic honey & shoyu glazed pork belly with jalapeño broccoli stalks & crackling.

With affordable pricing and relaxed friendly service too, Andi’s feels more like you’ve popped round your mate’s house rather than headed out for dinner – and we mean that in the best way possible! When you just want your dinner cooked for you, Andi’s is the ideal restaurant for Stokey folks.
