LOTI EATS: 400 RABBITS

Sourdough pizza and craft beer might not be a new phenomenon, but there is a new name is on the block – 400 Rabbits. After first opening in Crystal Palace, the rabbits have run to Nunhead to open up their second joint, so we hopped down to check it out.

The menu is pretty simple – a few starters, 6 pizzas (plus two specials) and a whole host of craft beers- bottled, from draft and in a can.  For starters, we went for two of Moons Green Beer Sticks which are a nod to beer culture and the perfect thing to chew on whilst you make that all important pizza decision.  For mains, it was the ground, aged Hereford beef pizza and a specials board pizza with goats cheese and rhubarb jam which was recommended by the waiter.  The bases were the perfect balance of fluffy and slightly chewy, the ingredients fresh and the flavour combinations banging.  Goats cheese and rhubarb jam?  A match made in heaven it seems. For dessert, we indulged in a rich salted caramel brownie with salted caramel ice cream.

400 Rabbits is an undeniably cool place to head for dinner, with a relaxed atmosphere, speedy service and cheap pizza, what’s not to like?!
