There’s a new cocktail bar in Stoke Newington, The Mint Gun Club, and this ain’t no dimly lit basement bar. Themed as a tea room and aperitivo bar, the space is brightly and airy, located on the ground floor and with huge windows, it makes for a nice change from the usual east London set up.
The menu is inspired by owner Richard Hunt’s travels around the globe and the cocktails certainly have a huge range of influences and all feel very personal. Having been to Burma last year, we went straight for the “Burmese No. 2”, a punch mix of Linden Flower, Orange Aperief, Scotch Whisky, Honey and Sage. Another highlight from us was the “Monsoon” – Icy Vodka, Extra Dry Vermouth, Marasca Cherry Liqueur, and Kevra Flower Water.
[URIS id=94393]With a fresh vibe and original drinks, The Mint Gun Club makes for a great choice when you want to have a more relaxed evening, (just) away from the main drag and madness of Dalston.
