After the great success of trendy Haggerston cocktail bar Three Sheets, bartending brothers Max and Noel Venning have opened their second cocktail bar, Bar Three. If you aren’t already familiar with the Venning duo, they’re well known for being experts in the cocktail industry, using their experience to create unique serves.

Hidden beneath Spitalfields restaurant Blixen, Bar Three has modern yet simple interior with low lighting and minimalist decor, mirroring its sibling Three Sheets. Spread across two rooms, the bar is relatively large yet still has an intimate atmosphere especially when busy, which it was when we visited just a few weeks after opening.

The cocktail menu is split into categories of alcohol level with free, light, medium and full. Our favourite had to be the Whisky + Milk, a simple yet tasty serve. Booze geeks will be happy to know their famous French 75 also makes an appearance on the menu too. The price are pretty reasonable, with alcoholic cocktails costing £9.50 and non-alcoholic £6.50. The bar snacks, provided by Blixen upstairs, are definitely worth mentioning with the menu includes grilled tiger prawns in a chill dressing and beetroot and goats cheese salad.

Whether you’re looking for a place to catch up with a friend or date night spot, Bar Three is the magic number.
