You know those times when your parents come to visit or that great aunt that you never knew you had who makes you stay on the sofa whilst she has the comfy bed? Yep, those times when you have to play tour guide for a weekend, hitting as many sites as possible. Well, that just got a whole load easier. Let us introduce you to the B-Bakery Afternoon Tea Bus Tour, which serves a boozy G&T afternoon tea whilst touring London’s biggest landmarks. Two birds = one bus.
What’s more, this is an old-school London bus, vintage in fact, with fairy lights that set the mood for the evening meaning you can see what you’re eating as well as what’s outside the windows. Think traditional afternoon tea vibes, with goodies from Brigit’s Bakery including mini sandwiches, cakes and pastries. We loved the warm scones, served with clotted cream and raspberry jam and delivered to our table mid-journey from a picnic basket – eeee you don’t get this in Derby, do you?! And the best bit? This mega spread was accompanied by refreshing Hayman’s Gin cocktails to make dealing with said visitor a little easier.
Meanwhile, you get to enjoy the sights that you sometimes forget to see when you live here or just don’t notice anymore…Big Ben, The London Eye, The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey. And what a way to take it all in, on the comfort of a vintage tour bus, sipping gin cocktails and eating macaroons.
