LORNE TO OPEN

River Cafe and Chez Bruce sommelier Katie Exton and Brawn and Benu chef Peter Hall, who both worked at The Square together, are combining all their pro experience into their own restaurant Lorne. As you’d expect from a chef and sommelier partnership, both food and wine will be of equal importance. The seasonal, modern British menu will include dishes like quail, butternut squash, and barley; brill, sourdough, baby gem and sea vegetables; and Yorkshire curd tart with builder’s tea ice cream, joined by a regularly changing wine list that features wine from all over the world. The relaxed vibe of the place also means that the drinks come in at reasonable prices, so you don’t have to worry about ordering that extra bottle.
