Grabyour spot on the start-line this August for London’s wildest, wettest and most action packed 10km race, The River Rat Race. Taking place on Saturday 16 August, participants will run, jump, swim, kayak and climb their way around The Docklands in East London.
And if swimming, wading, crawling, climbing, jumping, splashing and running around London’s first ever water obstacle course does not sound challenging enough, thrill seekers will enjoy the race’s piece de resistance…a towering confidence jump, plummeting 20 feet into the water below. Oh dear. Those up for the challenge, will just need enough fitness to tackle the 10km course, as well as a pair of trainers, some old clothes and the willingness to get wet and muddy!
Entry starts from £48, with a minimum of £10 from each entry going to Shelter to help people across the country struggling with homelessness with further money going to the charity through the sponsorship funds raised by each participant. To enter online go here.
