For the first time since 2019, the London Transport Museum is bringing back its Lights & Sights tours, a chance to explore the capital at Christmas on a vintage bus. The classic red Routemaster will take you on a tour through the West End, so you’ll catch glimpses of the festive light displays and illuminated landmarks as you pass by Covent Garden, Embankment, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, New Bond Street, Shaftsbury Avenue and the Strand. On the way, a soundtrack of classic Christmas tunes will be played, and kids can grab a festive activity sheet at the museum before setting off. If you love the city at Christmas, here’s a chance to enjoy the views at a safe distance from the crowds.
