London Fashion Week is fun and all but it’s quite hard to get into any of the shows (let alone sit FROW) unless you’re in the industry. That’s where London Fashion Week Festival comes in. The four-day affair at the BFC Show Space is completely open to the public and is the perfect way to get your fashion fix. Mother of Pearl, Bobby Abley, Katharine Hamnett and Georgia Hardinge will all be presenting runway shows, and there’ll be trend catwalks, featuring pieces from a range of designers, so you can see what you should be wearing next season.
There are also a range of talks and panels with industry insiders, from conversations with Katharine Hamnett and Alexandra Shulman to live versions of the Sheerluxe Show to a talk on how best to use Instagram from Who What Wear and Byrdie. Of course it wouldn’t be a fashion event without shopping – the Shopping Galleries has over 150 brands to browse across menswear, womenswear, accessories and jewellery, curated in part by Millie Mackintosh.
