whole festival dedicated to the falafel? Yes, it’s a wonder it took this long, but thankfully we won’t have to wait too much longer. And it’s organised by the guys behind the London Pizza Festival, this one’s in safe hands. To celebrate the popular street food, four of the greatest falafel makers in the world will be featuring their creations in return for your love and adoration.

Chef Mustafa Elrefaey of Zööba is coming in exclusively from Cairo to cook up his signature Egyptian falafel, made with fava beans, and flying in from Beirut with his black-eyed bean falafel is Hadi Hazim of the pop-up sensation Fusion Cult. You’ll also be able to sample food from a little closer to home too; Pilpel’s Uri Dinay is offering up his spiced chickpea falafel sandwich, and Louai Fares and Rasheed Muhammed from Hoxton Beach will showcase their 50/50 fava bean and chickpea creation. Tickets, which go on sale on 6th April, are £20 and portions of all four falafels are included, so come hungry,
