LONDON COCKTAIL WEEK IS BACK FOR 2021

What’s better than a week-long celebration of cocktails? A month-long celebration of cocktails. Yes after being extended to run for an entire month last year, London Cocktail Week is back for 2021 with another extended programme. Running for the whole month of October, it really is the biggest celebration of booze and bars in the world.

As with previous years, one £15 festival wristband gets you access to £7 signature serves at over 275 bars, like the Azul Slipper Kakigori, made with tequila, verjus & melon liqueur, at KOL Mezcaleria; the McDowza, made with Aberfeldy 12yr Whisky, Pedro Ximenez sherry, honey & oat milk at The Sun Tavern; and the Skyr-washed akavit, lovage & redcurrant Eldr Punch from Eldr at Pantechnicon. There’s even £5 non-alcoholic options for those off the sauce, and the festival pass is valid for the whole month so you’ve got plenty of time to make your way around the bars and try all those drinks.

Brand new for this year, LCW has teamed up with Covent Garden to create a hub for the festival, with The Essence House at its heart. At the two-floor immersive, multi-sensorial experience from The London Essence Co, you can discover your true palate profile and sip on bespoke cocktails specially crafted to your tastes.

There’s also a whole host of pop-ups, events and masterclasses happening across the city, including the World’s Most Rubbish Bar from Discarded Spirits, whisky tastings at the Buffalo Bourbon Empire pop-up, Salon Courvoisier at Nightjar and Oriole, a Scottish forest experience from Brewdog, and a classic cocktail trail at London Bridge.

And if you’re not quite ready to hit the bars in person, LCW has partnered with The Drinks Drop to deliver a selection of the £7 signature serves nationwide, with tastings and masterclasses also available digitally, so you can create your very own festival at home. CHEERS.
