You don’t need to be Irish to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, and whilst we’d rather be heading to our local boozer for a few pints of the black stuff with our amazing Irish friends, this year we’ll be raising a glass at home instead. Here are some of the bevs to celebrate the big day with…
Weights + Measures Citra Session
This brewery in the seaside town of Galway have brewed a right banger with BIG flavour. The Weights + Measures IPA has plenty of citrus notes with sweet floral tones too. Close your eyes, crack open the can and imagine yourself on the Irish coast.
Leann Folláin Extra Irish Stout
Leann Folláin is Gaelic for “wholesome stout” and this one definitely lives up to its name. It features flavours of dark chocolate, hints of vanilla and aromas of coffee – seriously luxurious and an absolute pleasure to drink.
Swift Irish Coffee Kit
This boozy coffee kit will put a little jig in your step, featuring Jameson Whiskey and Swift blend filter coffee from Send Coffee. It even includes their own Irish Coffee glasses too. It’s seriously easy to make and even easier to drink.
No. 6 President’s Reserve
Irish single malt and Irish single grain whiskey have been married together in this No. 6 bottle. It’s got a punchy fruit sweetness but with plenty of vanilla to back it up. Drink it neat, shaken or stirred – it’s a winner.
Wild Irish Gose
Brewed by the independent brewery Lough Gill in Sligo, you’ll get a real taste of Ireland with this refreshing ale. It’s tart, salty (in a good way) and features strong citrusy notes. Quite frankly, if this craft brew doesn’t quench your thirst, nothing will.
If you’re looking something with a bit more ooomph to drink this St. Patrick’s Day, then let us introduce you to Porterhouse Brew Co’s Pilsner. This classic number is rich with deep malty tones and promises a proper good night will be had.
