This Camberwell spot is one of the best Ethiopian restaurants in town, with the food being as good value as it is tasty. The injera is excellent and there’s a great selection of vegan dishes, including shuro wot (chickpeas in a hot and spicy berbere sauce) and misir wot (split lentils in a red pepper sauce), but the Zeret Surprise is the real winner. The sharing platter for two costing just £30 is loaded with beef wot, chicken tibs, atkilt alecha, misir wot, azefa, shuro wot, and salad.
