The British Museum has been building its collection of post-war Nordic artwork and you can see the fruits of this effort at the Nordic noir: works on paper from Edvard Munch to Mamma Andersson exhibition. Around 150 graphic works on paper from more that 100 artists, including Edvard Munch, Mamma Andersson, Olafur Eliasson, John Savio, Vanessa Baird, Yuichiro Sato, Fatima Moallim and John Kørner will be on show. The exhibition aims to showcase the variety of Nordic art and the way it flourished following Munch’s death in 1994, while also exploring themes like nature and the preservation of the environment, Norse myth, the threat of the Cold War, feminism and indigenous rights.
