The Berkeley has turned its summer beach huts into winter cabins, complete with candles, blankets, and wreaths, and surrounded by fairy lights and fir trees. You can dine on alpine-inspired menu, featuring rostis, veal schnitzel, spätzle, cheese fondue, a raclette grill where you can cook up everything from cheese and ham to wagyu beef and lobster, flambeed baked alaska, and chocolate croquembouche. And you can warm up with hot cider, boozy hot chocolate prepared tableside and Belgian beer. The cabins seat eight people and there’s a £500 minimum spend (excluding service) so it’s not gonna be a cheap little escape, but why not treat yourself?
