Renowned performance artist Marina Abramovic is taking over both of Lisson Gallery’s London spaces with her Seven Deaths show, inspired by opera singer Maria Callas. The main gallery will host an immersive video installation in which Abramovic re-enacts seven ways the singer has met her end on stage (including stabbing, radiation poisoning, and being throttled by a snake) set to seven of her solos. The Cork Street gallery will display seven alabaster sculptures, which are also self-portraits, based on the same seven deaths.
