New York’s bakery game isn’t quite on the level of Copenhagen but there are a couple of standouts, including Librae. Bringing a Middle Eastern vibe, there are some incredible finds here that are well worth queueing for. Cases in point: the rose pistachio croissant; the za’atar labneh morning bun; and the malt and strawberry Danish. They also do sandwiches at lunchtime, and great cookies like the tahini chocolate chip. We went several times on our last trip and we suggest you go at least once.
